Supporting medical education

As a registered charity, the Royal Society of Medicine receives no money from the government. This means we rely on the subscriptions of our members and on philanthropic donations to maintain our work.

The Wall of Honour plays a vital role in this. As well as giving you a unique opportunity to honour someone you admire, it enables us to raise essential funds for medical education and training.

By paying for a name to be added, you are therefore supporting the professional excellence of over 30,000 doctors and healthcare professionals who attend each year, which goes on to benefit the whole of society.

With your help, we are able to provide 400+ accredited meetings a year, covering over 57 specialties of medicine, plus a first class Library holding over 600,000 books and online access to over 5,000 medical journals.

So, in honouring the person who inspired you, you are also inspiring the next generation; a further fitting tribute.
